And at the end of the track, at the end of the world… Shipwreck Lodge, in Namibia.
Expect a shock.
Landscapes unfold here as one might imagine on another planet, in an atmosphere from elsewhere.
Shipwreck Lodge is an atypical lodge located within the Skeleton Coast concession, tucked between the Hoarusib and Hoanib rivers, in Namibia.
Isolated among the dunes, it offers a view over the Atlantic Ocean and a mystical, solitary atmosphere.
Highly exclusive, it comprises just ten chalets.
With their wide bay windows, you will feel in constant connection with nature.
Its décor is warm, and its architecture recalls the numerous shipwrecks found along this coast.
Deeply committed to ecology and to respecting this site, classified as a nature reserve since 1971, Shipwreck Lodge runs on solar panels and keeps its ecological footprint to a minimum.
To make the most of this unique place, you can explore the dunes by 4×4 as far as the Hoarusib River to spot brown hyenas, desert elephants, and, with more luck still, desert lions.
You can also discover Möwe Bay with its seal colony, shipwrecks and former diamond mine; take a sunset walk through the Roaring Dunes, have lunch between dunes and ocean, head out to sea to catch your own dinner, or enjoy the morning light amid mist and sea breeze.
Shipwreck Lodge is not a stop on your next trip to Namibia. It is a journey in itself.
A true change of scenery. Moments of life that form the DNA of Étendues Sauvages.
