Opening of the Biomuseo in Panama City

Etendues Sauvages informs you:

The Biomuseo in Panama City, designed by the renowned Canadian architect Frank Gehry, will open its doors on May 22nd. Located at the entrance to the Calzada de Amador in the southwest of Panama City, it stands out for its extravagant architecture and vivid colours. The museum aims to become a key site for both locals and visitors from around the world.
The Biomuseo’s purpose is to tell the story of the formation of the Isthmus of Panama through 8 exhibition halls, while highlighting the biodiversity of Panamanian lands and the significance of the changes brought about by the emergence of this “bridge of life”.

Focus on Boquete, Chiriqui region:

Perched at 1,600 m altitude, Boquete is a charming small mountain town in the Chiriqui region, at the heart of a vividly colourful valley. On the border with Costa Rica, this town is marked by its volcanic mountains, including the Barú volcano, Panama’s highest point (3,450 m altitude), where numerous outdoor activities are available.
Chiriqui holds abundant natural resources, with an extraordinary diversity of wildlife and extensive forests covering the volcanoes, making this destination Panama’s capital of ecotourism and adventure. For over a century, Finca Lerida has delighted visitors with its brew, recognised worldwide as one of the finest coffees…
